MCG members enjoyed a very informative and fascinating presentation by biologist and Malaysian Nature Society volunteer Yannick Tatin about Malaysia’s natural heritage.  Yannick took participants on a wonderful tour of this biodiversity hotspot, home to 20% of all animal species and one of the world’s oldest rainforests – 130 million years old! 

The speaker expertly shared information about endemic as well as little-known species, the latest news on conservation issues in Malaysia and interesting locations where we can view Malaysia’s rich fauna and flora. Yannick also highlighted NGOs active in nature conservation in Malaysia that interested members could consider joining.
