Chinese New Year has many fun traditions – one of them is to decorate your home with woodblock prints to celebrate the New Year.

 

On 25 February, MCG members had the run of the woodblock printing workshop at Lostgens. After an interesting presentation about this tradition, which dates back to the Ming dynasty over 600 years ago and remains very popular, participants had a great time working with a wide range of woodblock carvings to print their red banners welcoming the Year of the Horse.
