Visit to the Royal Malaysian Police Museum
Seventeen MCG members attended this tour The Royal Malaysian Police Museum was established by several senior Police officers in 1958. The first Museum building was in the grounds of the Police Training Centre, Jalan Semarak. The Museum was moved to its present location in 1997 after the exhibitions outgrew their available space. The present Museum was opened to the public in October, 1998. The Museum exhibits a collection of artifacts and information on the historical development and roles of the Police Institution in Malaysia dating from the ancient Malay Sultanate of Malacca, through the Portuguese, Dutch, British & Japanese occupations to the present day. It tells it’s story chronologically using videos, examples of Police Uniforms, Weapons, Awards plus many other exhibits including large vehicles in the grounds of the Museum. Michelle Pease
