Enak’s 1st Year End Pot Luck!

Was there ever a more delicious meal in lovely surroundings than the 1st ENAK POT LUCK that took place on Thursday 14th December at Dori Levai’s house near Publika?
ENAKERS really know how to enjoy themselves and most know how to cook delicious dishes (I can say that because I no longer cook).

No two dishes were identical as each had its own different herbs or spices. There were many vegetarian options which is rarely the case and much appreciated. I fell for two particular dishes. One was an aubergine salad of which I had never heard, let alone eaten. Another was a classical Malaysian pickle,‘Achar Awak’.

Dori’s ENAK! was a wonderful start to the Christmas season. Let’s just keep it going throughout 2018.

Rosemary added “There was lots of camaraderie and Christmas cheer! Dori had worked hard to decorate and prepare for the event. She was very proud of her country’s traditional dish and had a 20-min demo on cooking Hungarian Goulash using her Pressure Cooker. I know some of us will definitely try the authentic recipe she shared with us. With Enakers from many different countries it was such a treat to taste the many foods they brought to the lunch table.”
