Jan 2016 - Ghost Cave by Elsie Sze

This is the story of the community of Hakka miners who came to Sarawak as economic migrants in search of gold in the mid nineteenth century.

The events leading to the formation of the jungle based communist groups of the 1960s among their descendants are recalled and told through the eyes of the writer's grandfather.  An old journal is used as a literary devise for connecting historical events to the present day.

The story illustrates the complex history of modern Sarawak, which is now a State in East Malaysia.
